CULTURAL EQUITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT

About…Productions was founded as a theater company 30 years ago on the principles of collaboration, community engagement, interdisciplinary practice, and the inclusion of a diversity of voices.

For these past 30 years we have been dedicated to creating original, interdisciplinary theaterworks built in a collaborative process and which represent a diversity of voices from the Greater Los Angeles area. This diversity in both our artistic and educational programming has primarily included ethnic, gender, geographic, economic, disciplinary, and age in regards to content, creators and communities served. 

Our educational programs primarily serve highest-risk youth in continuation high schools, a majority of which are low income and Latino from multiple L.A. neighborhoods. In addition, over the past 30 years we have been dedicated to providing opportunities for community dialogue for our adult audiences and within our L.A. artistic community with interactive programs that allow for meaningful and proactive engagement.

We also have a long history of community-based and institutional collaborations which is represented by the broad range of Los Angeles County theaters, schools and neighborhoods served. It is important to us to match communities with content in order to foster relationships and dialogue both institutionally and with the individuals we serve. 

Finally, we have a history of hiring a diverse range of artistic, administrative and educational personnel. Through community outreach the company has ensured that we are able to engage with a diverse range of applicants. We remain committed to this practice in order to hire a diverse staff in regards to gender, ethnicity, disability, geography, and age.
